Finally the Bunnies broke the bad spell they have had against undead, DD in particular, when they completely outplayed DD in second half after tying first half 1-1.
The bunnies had bribed the ref, but never really used it, although he did send a DD dirty player off, and Ann Griff had taken her anabolic steroids and seemed really strong. But it was not the reason the match went so well. BBB was just playing well, missing almost no dodge, independent on DD’s tackle zones and their great tackle players…
Again in front of more than 100.000 fans, DD received against the bunnies, and a DD fan removed Maria Juana from the LoS with a rock. Argos quickly moved the strong Ann Griff from the pitch KOing her in a foul, and then Ra killed Eva Luér. (From this he learned multiple block)! A scared Sir Harvey Lickbottom, hesitated to send in the apotech, but when he realized that Necromancer Kynde was getting ready to raise the dying bunny, he send in the apo in the last second, saving her neck. That should turn out to be a very good decision.
As the bunnies never tried to get at DD’s cage, a confident Necromancer allowed Mad Max to hand the ball to Mean Midget for a quick TD for 0-1. (In this way he learned block, but first after Xorn had been send off for absolutely doing nothing?)
In the second drive another rock stunned Ann Griff but although DD made a really nice defence, nothing failed for the bunnies, and the tying TD was a fact in only two turn, when Ulla Omar scored her first TD ever: 1-1.
DD still had time, but it turned out to be too little, and a great Bunny defence effectively stopped DD, and they only tied in their own receiving half.
Then in second half everything worked for the bunnies and nothing worked for DD. Even with a perfect defence, the bunnies moved through the defence, and bam another long bomb from Synne Buch to Karen Tæhne and the bunnies took the lead. 2-1. Then they never looked back.
It turned out that Mad Max‘s sure hands can fail a pick-up even when the fans cheers, and this was immediately used to the bunnies advantage, and Thora Rulle gripped the ball and dodged and ran for it. Although DD’s mummies went berserk, with Ramses the 5th BHing Maj Stang and Ra SI Sarah Cen the only thing DD could do to Thora Rulle was putting a couple of tackle players on her. And even though she for a moment seemed to be tripping when Benno Brausekopf II tackled her, the teams great spirit helped her stay on her feet taking the match to 3-1.
At this time DD had to take some chance, and with the fans cheering again, and the bunnies protecting them selves, the pitch were open for a quick counter TD. But once again DD had trouble with the ball, when Enasni the Death Eater could not catch a hand-off from Mad Max and the ball was once again on the ground. And even though it was in two TZ, Thera Π managed to deliver it to Synne Buch who long bombed once more to Thora Rulle who caught it and made it 4-1 for the bunnies. Thus she learned a new skill.
DD had by now, of course, resigned, but the bunnies wanted more and came blitzing out after this great TD, and Karen Tæhne caught BBB’s own kick from kicker Eva Luér who was still alive and kicking, after the apo saved her earlier. It did not seem likely that Karen Tæhne could keep the ball, cause Lex Liche was about to strip it from her, but after some trouble getting to her, he did not even manage to push her, and she managed to hold on to the ball. In a series of amazing dodges she then continued down pitch to take the bunnies to a stunning 5-1 after being down 0-1. That is the highest TD count made against DD ever.
In the last drive DD was almost loosing the ball again, as Mad Max for the second time failed his pick-up. Strong Ann Griff put his TZ on the ball, but then a receiver finally failed a dodge around a mummy, and DD got a last chance to reduce the score. Ann Griff was knocked down by Ramses the 5th, but she decided to step into the ball, which then twice bounced through the hands of DD players who had already taken their turn to assist. But finally it ended up in the right spot, and Mad Max made up for his bad match, by gripping the ball and with a quick pass to Lex Liche the latter could then reduce to 5-2.
DD’s MVP then went to him, whereas Eva Luér who came back from the dead to kick so beautiful for the bunnies all the rest of the match got their MVP
Although no fans changed sides, the money went to the bunnies with 90 vs. only 30 k.
For sure the bunnies taught DD not to underestimate and elf team, but once again DD came through a match without receiving any injuries. Only 1 cas have been inflicted on DD in their first 5 matches this season. But the bunnies can also be satisfied in this respect cause no permanent injuries came their way this time…
