The match started in very sunny conditions. And the spectators were in for a real treat.
An undercover agent had managed to drug Synne Buch’s Gatorade, resulting in her being bone headed for the match. When furthermore backup quarterbunny Thera Π was stretchered off the field before the match even started, things started looking grim for the Bunnies. However, other Bunnies stepped in as apt replacement for Thera, and Synne did not fail her bone head roll even once.
Bunnies received the ball and pushed down the field. Synne Buch connected with Ulla Omar, but much to the Bunnies’ dismay they had all forgotten that Tearr A'Parte was equipped with some rather nasty tentacles. The Bunny offence was stalled, the ball-carrier was sent to the ground, and Zpeedy Gonzales'dangudiz' connected with fellow gutter runner Squik'Alot'Less who put Headz'n'Tailzz BBC in the lead. 0 – 1. That was the only lucky break for the Skaven. From now on luck resided firmly on the Bunnies’ side.
In the next drive the Bunny offensive tactics did not fail, and Synne Buch completed to Karen Tæhne who made the equalizer. 1 – 1. In the process Ru Tine beat up WhoZzthisz Fretty? so severely that he was carried off the field in a coffin.
Skaven quarterback Red Eyezz then decided to throw the ball in to Zpeedy Gonzales'dangudiz', who failed to catch the ball, though. Ru Tine who was already in the habit of scoring star player points decided that now was the time to gain another one which would win her another upgrade. She picked up the ball and connected with Karen Tæhne who put the Bunnies in front 2 – 1. From here they would never look back.
A pitch invasion then took out 8 players. Incredibly 5 rats were sent to the ground as opposed to only 3 elves who had the fewest fans present. Headz'n'Tailzz BBC tried to push forward, but a fumble from Red Eyezz sent the ball into the hands of Thora Rulle who decided to elaborate on the score. 3 – 1.
With one turn left, Headz'n'Tailzz BBC lined up Zpeedy Gonzales'dangudiz' for a one-turn touchdown. A blitz threatened to hamper their possibilities, as Ann Griff used it to push the Skaven one-turner out of scoring distance. Amazingly the rats managed to push him back within scoring distance, though, but the pass from Maim'N'Aim was intercepted by Emmy Grant.
A one-sided first half ended 3 – 1. The half saw an unlucky Skaven team and a flamboyant Bunny team, who very rarely – if ever – made a mistake. The second half would dawn to see Headz'n'Tailzz BBC less unlucky, but still – on a day like this – the Bunnies would succed in whatever they did.
Before the half started the weather changed to perfect, and the Bunnies decided to start where they finished: With a blitz! The ball ended in the hands of Thora Rulle, but Franzz was able to retrieve it. It ended in the hands of Zpeedy Gonzales'dangudiz' who made it 3 – 2.
A standard Bunny offensive drive then made it 4 – 2. An unmarked Synne Buch connected with an unmarked Karen Tæhne.
Another rock thrown from the audience killed Ann Griff but the Bunny apothecary saved her life. Nothing could stop Zpeedy Gonzales'dangudiz' though, as he made his second touchdown of the match. 4 – 3.
The Bunnies then pushed down the field again. Synne Buch connected with Karen Tæhne who even had the luxury of time to make a hand-off to rookie receiver Helle Dige Asen who made the second touchdown of he career in as many matches. 5 – 3.
Zpeedy Gonzales'dangudiz' was unstoppable today, though. The fast moving gutter runner made his third touchdown of the match. 5 – 4.
But just as unstoppable was Synne Buch and her completion cirkus. Completely disregarding her bone head, she once again connected with her daunting receivers. This time Thora Rulle was the one who signed the touchdown. 6 – 4.
Zpeedy Gonzales'dangudiz' then made full use of his acceleration, and capitalizing on a quick snap, he made his fourth one-turn touchdown of the match. 6 – 5.
But the day belonged to the Bunnies, and although another pitch invasion sent most of the Bunny receivers to the ground, three linebunnies and one blitzer still made it within scoring distance. Synne Buch then accomplished a great feat by becoming only the second thrower in the history of the league to make 6 completions in a match – an achievement she shares only with hall of famer Bart Bomber. Her throw landed in the hands of Metha Stase who made it a record high scoring game. 7 – 5.
An astonishing match which saw luck completely on the Bunnies’ side. They hardly ever made a mistake. Headz'n'Tailzz BBC lacked the sufficient luck in a few, but crucial situations.
