The weather was fine as a so far record high number of spectators came to see the match.
The Bunnies chose to receive the ball and scored a routine 2-turn touchdown. Backstabbers then received the ball and stalled the match only to score a touchdown in the last round of the first half. On the way there they sent a number of Bunnies off the pitch but also provided the Bunnies with their only casualty of the game as a half-witted gobling chose to badly hurt himself on Sarah Cen. All in all the Bunnies had a hard time even so much as stretching the stunties to the grass throughout the entire match.
Backstabbers would receive the ball in the start of the second half - or so they thought. A well-timed blitz for the Bunnies made sure they never so much as got hold of the ball, and in the Bunnies' first turn of second half Karen Tæhne scored a touchdown. 2-1 for the Bunnies.
Backstabbers responded by a relatively quick equalizer. The thoroughly decimated Bunnies then fought hard to get back. With a very limited number of players on the field they sent a few of them within scoring distance, but their chances were seemingly hampered when Backstabbers managed to sent the last standing Bunny receiver into the dugout. With no receivers left on the pitch, Bunny team vice captain Sarah Cen managed to wriggle free and run to the endzone. A long bomb from team captain Synne Buch was accurate and ended right in her hands for a touchdown. Only the second ever in Bunny history to be scored by a linebunny. 3-2.
Backstabbers then strode down the field, but the few remaining Bunny players forced them to make a hand-off and a number of dodges if they wanted to make it. This they did and the game ended 3-3.
Backstabbers forgot that Bunnies had a potential one-turner on the team, and placed their players rather haphazardly for the final kickoff before the Bunnies' final turn. Cheering fans gave Bunnies a last minute re-roll, and the first blitz went according to plan. Everything looked promising for a last minute game winner for the Bunnies when, alas, Eva Luér failed to make a simple pushback with 3 block dice in 2 attempts. 3-3 the final score.
