The game was plagued by very poor dice rolls from both teams that very much disrupted the flow of the match.
The Bunnies took 3 turns to drive down the sideline for an early lead. 1-0.
Lunatics then spent 3 turns trying to pick up the ball deep in their own territory allowing the Bunnies far down the pitch. Eventually the Bunnies had an easy pick, but their dice were also unable to come up with anything else than a double 1. Lunatics then threw the ball down the field and with very few Bunnies left behind to defend it looked like an easy pick. But a solo effort by Lone Star (the last of her career) was to put the ball in the hands of Billie Luder who connected with quarterbunny Queen Bruise for a further Bunny lead. 2-0.
A last minute drive by the Lunatics was also marred by several bad dice rolls, but in the end Flapsear Starfly put the ball in the endzone so that Lunatics would only trail by 1 touchdown at halftime.
In the second half knock-outs and injuries were taking their toll on the Bunnies who had a hard time taking down any of the Goblins. Nozzy Nobbs was about to capitalize by scoring a touchdown, but in the end he tripped over his own feet into the endzone injuring himself. Once again Flapsear Starfly had to take the ball the final inches for the equalizers.
With no leapers or blockers left the Bunnies were likely to become boxed in by the Goblins. But once again Lunatics' dice would not let them get a grip of things. The Bunnies got a last second chance to stall the game before going for the victory. With Ted Bunny in the endzone and the ballcarrying Billie Luder poised for the dump-off right behind her everything was set for a last minute touchdown in the opponent's turn. The plan worked, and the Bunnies to a late lead. 3-2.
The Lunatics' final attempt at a touchdown was thwarted as the Troll tried to have the ball-carrying Goblin for dinner. This was the Lunatics' third attempt of the match to throw a Goblin. All three attempts failed because of the hungry Troll. In all three circumstances, however, the Goblin managed to squirm free. 3-2 the final result.
