Lovers would receive the ball and grind down the field. A huge break for the Bunnies came, when Billie Luder seriously injured Jimi Grydehår. With the sure hand thrower out of the game, the Bunnies had an easier task stripping the ball from the ball-carrier, but in spite of this the Bunnies never managed to capitalize on this by retrieving the ball. Casper Kravlenisse made the opening touchdown of the match in Lovers' final round of the first half.
A deep kick and a "perfect defence" turned up the heat on the remaining Bunnies at the start of the second half. A long bomb from Queen Bruise who had to make use of her safe throw to thwart an interception to Billie Luder secured the equalizer, however.
But from here on, Lovers never looked back. Most of the remaining Bunnies were sent to the dugout or otherwise incapacitated, and the Orcs would stall the match for a last minute victory touchdown by Casper Kravlenisse.
