Match notes
The Bunnies opted to receive the ball and drove down the field so fast the Dwarves did not know what hit them. A go-for-it to put a tackle-zone on the ball-carrier failed, and the Bunnies took the lead with relative ease.
In the following drive a Dwarf cage was made just to showcase Sisse Fisse's abilities as a cagebreaker. Rakic Moonleg was wrestled to the ground, and the agile Billie Luder ignored a tackle-zone to pick up the ball and hurl it to an unmarked Ted Bunny. 2-0 for the Bunnies.
By then Breakers started grinding, and with limited Bunny material left on the field, the Dwarves easily made it 2-1 before half-time.
By the beginning of the second half Breakers set in motion again to grind the Bunnies down. They managed to decimate the Bunnies on the field, but as was the case in the first half mostly by knock-outs. Eventually Breakers easily made the equalizer. 2-2. An attempt at a one-turn touchdown by the Bunnies failed miserably, and the match went into overtime.
By now casualties were starting to wear the Bunnies down, and Breakers took the lead relatively unhindered. 2-3.
Before the last turn of the first half of overtime a blizzard engulfed the stadium much to the dismay of the Bunnies. Three subsequent pushes had put Malice in Wonderbra in a perfect scoring position, but due to the Blizzard she tripped over her own legs when going for the endzone.
In the second half of overtime the Bunnies punched a hole in the Dwarf defence, and with agile leapers and a ball-carrying dump-off machine at their disposal, the Bunnies thwarted the Dwarf defensive plan. 3-3.
By now nerves were starting to creep in, and Rakic Moonleg had to use three turns to pick up the ball. That was apparently too much, as time expired.
3-3 the final score, and now the match had to be decided by penalty shoot-out. Neither team had any re-rolls left. 4-3 in favour of Breakers was the result of the final dice rolls in a match that could scarcely have been more even.
