A strange match! 9 players with ST 5+, none with ST 3-4 and then 12 with ST 2 and 8 with ST 1. Still the average ST was above 2.75. Apart from this strange ST distribution the two teams were evenly matched, although the Snotlings had acquired some extra practise in hitting at Gobos for this match.
TV2 received the ball and Tycho Brahe Jr. caught the high kick. And then Johannes Kepler Jr. began to hunt Snotlings. First he took out the offensively named Søren Snot, only due to his weak amour. He will miss next match. But the Snotling received the MVP later for being the first Snotling to leave the pitch. From that he learned his first skill. Next Johannes Kepler Jr. took out slow Kurt Klam BH, and from that the Gobo learned side step!
But then Torsten Tumpe hit back, taking Stephen Hawking Jr. down with even strength and the ball smashed his ankle so he will be very slow when he returns after next match.
Then the saw in the hands of Holger Bech Nielsen Jr. began to work its magic. First it KOed Anton Amøbe who would never recover for the rest of the match. And then he took out Ib Idiot BH who had been so idiotic as to move up against him… But in this turn it could have gone all wrong for TV2. Cause a hand-off from Tycho Brahe Jr. to Pogoer Arthur C. Clarke Jr. failed. Had it worked he would have been almost sure on the TD. It was not a turn-over, however, as the ball bounced back to Tycho Brahe Jr. who caught it again, but although other Gobos moved in, they could not cower him.
So after lots of blocking Tycho Brahe Jr. could finally be blitzed down and the ball was loose.
The saw took out the last Snotling with stat decrease, the also slow Ole Opkast was BH. But the ball was still free, and finally a "normal" Gobo went out, as Per Paphoved BH Enrico Fermi the 3rd.
At this time TV2 had used up all their RR (mainly on kick-backs on Holger Bech Nielsen Jr., but when he then recovered it was with great results!) Also an IP had given the Snotlings a RR. But finally everything worked. Tycho Brahe Jr., picked up the ball near an Ogre, then dodged four times to reach Arthur C. Clarke Jr. and this time the hand-off was caught and the free Pogoer could run in the TD for 1-0.
The chainsaw was out, but with 12 players the bomber Robert Oppenheimer the 2nd could stay in the dugout for the last two turn. But then the rest of the team had to try and prevent the quick TD by the now only 9 players (5 Ogres and 4 Snotlings). Sadly they still had that RR from the IP, and that came in handy when Mads Møg else would have failed the pick-up, and made a TD impossible. But now he was in range for the hand-off for a flying TD.
But that could be stopped by the Gobos. Cause Niels Bohr Jr. made a perfect pass with Galileo Galilei Jr.. He did land in a TZ, but on his feet and dodged out to have a two dice blitz on Mads Møg… who then just smacked him down KO! Then the hand-off to Flemming Fnat was successful, but alas the strong Ogre Torsten Tumpe was not good at throwing, and fumbled the Snotling. He landed on his feet but no TD came of it.
In those two turns three Gobos had been KOed, but they all came back in, and it was again 11 vs. 9 for 2nd half. Already to begin with TV2 attaced the ball. And actually Ole Rømer the 2nd had a go for it to get a pick-up chance with his sure hands, but he fell on the ball. This put some pressure on the Snotlings, but then a hand-off succeeded to Ogre Jesper Jernedød.
This took of some of the pressure, especially as first Galileo Galilei Jr. and then Troll Niels Bohr Jr. also had their angles smashed. The first by Sebastian Sinke the latter by Torsten Tumpe who had made this his speciality of the day. He learned his 3rd skill from that! Whereas the Gobo was just later retired with his now two permanent injuries, the Troll was saved by the apo, and would be ready for any future drives!
As the bomber Robert Oppenheimer the 2nd had also been KOed without throwing any bombs, it was suddenly 8 gobos vs. 9! But now several of the Ogres failed to move, and most of the gobos and the remaining Troll Albert Einstein Jr. surrounded Jesper Jernedød.
Finally a chance of taking him down presented it self. Pogoer Arthur C. Clarke Jr. should just try to push him down to the Troll, as the weaker part of course. But instead of pushing Ogre Jesper Jernedød he smacked him down BHing him in the process. The ball was free and in four of TV2 players TZ.
Before they got a chance to try to take it for them self though, Thomas Edison the 2nd failed a dodge and was BH. The Ogres then manage to get the ball to bounce out of the cage, but although a blitzing Ogre manages to blitz his was out and dodge to the ball he fails the pickup. And a blitz by the Troll leaves the ball free. Alfred Nobel the 2nd tries to pass it to Johannes Kepler Jr. who is in scoring range, but the pass is inaccurate, and ends up next to the target.
This leaves a small chance for a TD by the Snotlings, but when an Ogre is too stupid to blitz it becomes all but impossible and Torsten Tumpe fails the pick-up so no TD. Of course the TD was not that close as he also needed to dodge and push it once to hand-off to a Snotling who then should be thrown by another Ogre…
The victory is thus a fact for TV2, but as last match Tycho Brahe Jr. has a chance of making it a 2-0 victory. All he has to do is make a go for it to get the ball in the Ogre's TZ, and then of course one more plus the dodge to hand it to Johannes Kepler Jr. who stands in this TZ also. And so on… But already the first go for it fails (like last match, but that was for the TD) and he becomes injured, luckily for TV2 he is only KOed. (The apo was used on the Troll!)
This would have been the almost perfect win for TV2 with lots of luck, but just before they could celebrate one of their best gobos Ole Rømer the 2nd was killed by Åge Åndsvag and the celebration became somewhat subdued.
For some reason the MVP for TV2 also went to a player that hardly did anything, Robert Oppenheimer the 2nd, who failed to throw a bomb in the two turns he had before getting KOed...
