Lovers won the coin toss and elected to receive the ball. The ball was kicked to a spot near the line of scrimmage, and a blitz allowed the Bunnies to get hold of the all right away. Although they were cornered on the sideline, Billie Luder and Ted Bunny managed to break through and run for the endzone. The slow Orcs were only able to pull one defender far enough back to blitz down the ball-carrier, but the two Elven catchers easily managed to regain conrol of the ball and score in the next turn. 1-0 Bunnies.
Yet another blitz gave the Bunnies the edge once again. This time, they were not able to grab the ball right away, but they managed to put enough preassure on the ball-carrier so that Lovers were unable to really secure the ball. A brilliant blitz action from Alma Nak turned the ball loose, and Ted Bunny capitalized with a touchdown. 2-0 Bunnies.
Determined defence on the Bunnies behalf would keep Lovers at bay for the rest of the first half. Instead they would concentrate on decimating the Elves.
On the first drive of the second half, the Bunnies would drive down the sideline, but the bashing in the last turns of the first half would pay off. The Bunnies were stalled, and the ball changed hands. Fierce defending and determined blitzing against unfavourable odds from the Bunnies would, however, keep Lovers from an easy drive down the pitch. In the end Buckingham Immergeil would reduce the Bunnies' lead after receiving the ball from a red-hot Jimi Grydehår, but by then time was running out. 2-1 Bunnies the final score in a game which saw Svend Sved tie for all-time most lethal player with 3 kills.
