To help them against Lovers DR had hired two mercenary linerats. But they did not last long when DR kicked to AL. First block of the game: Bubba Bonehead BH one of the two. Second block of the game, Svend Sved SI the other!
As the Lovers fans had killed the ref before the match started, no one saw when Zark Immergeil stepped on the last line rat Frej B who thus became SI making it a clean slate on the LoS.
DR tried for a few turns to keep clear of the Orcs, but Bubba Bonehead managed another BH on Tyr A whereas fouler Zark Immergeil managed to take out Brage A BH as well and a KO also quickly followed. The only KO AL made the entire match vs. 9 casualties!
But still with only 5 players on pitch DR managed to take down ball carrier Zorglub the Great as he was next to the EZ. Actually it was Holy Spirit's plan to force a TD and give DR two turns, but the orc was smacked down in the EZ in stead. Holy Spirit somehow managed to grab the ball and dodge away from the EZ. But there where no chance that he would not be taken down. But when then Joan-Røv caught the bounce, AL was forces to try to hand-off, and then the ball bounced back to Joan-Røv.
This could have given DR the ball, but with Holy Spirit stunned Jesus had to dodge on a five, and this failed. Thus Joan-Røv could score for 1-0 but not before Jesus had been fouled BH by Zark Immergeil!
With the KO not coming back it was only 6 rats for the last turn. But three runners and a guard was on pitch. And the kick was close to the LoS so the one turner was not out of sight. A blitz by Balder B on a BOB with assist from the guarding Zeus gave the push needed, even taking down the BOB. So now Holy Spirit was in range. And a hand off by God was caught in the shadow of troll Anton Adams. And then dodge, leap, dodge and push it all you can, relying on the team practice to manage that last move, and TD for a tying first half 1-1!
With the KO back it was 7 rats, and DR received with hopes of a quick TD. But it should not be that easy. And in the end Holy Spirit ran back out of reach instead of going for the TD. But it was not getting any easier when Thor B who had just awoken from a KO was KOed again.
But at least the foul by Zark Immergeil failed this time, leaving Zeus awake close to the EZ. And he dodged out and tried to blitz the fouler down, but when this failed he ran for the EZ pushing it all he could. And then Holy Spirit took a chance making a long pass straight to Zeus using all the team practice to manage this, and the new star Zeus did not fail and caught it for a 1-2 lead.
With only 7 players left, DR had not much hope of preventing a tying TD, but at least they were not likely to loose. But when Lovers repeated the clean slate on the LoS it could have given them a chance to score quickly and win. It was again Bubba Bonehead who made a BH and Svend Sved his second SI. (He thus became a super star!) This meant that Thor B just left the pitch whereas Balder B lost some amour as well. Finally Lovers achieved what had been missing so far when the last linerat Heimdal A was killed by Buckingham Immergeil.
In the end Lovers did not manage to take out the four remaining rats, and with three runners and a clawed Zeus they did not dare score, and waited for the last turn to give Zorglub the Great the TD for 2-2.
The troll Anton Adams received the MVP for only forgetting where he was twice the entire match, and Brage A received it for staying on pitch for almost two turns, and from this he obtained a new skill.
