If you buy the game a human and an orc team will follow with the box. Although if you want to play seriously you may need some extra figures, since there is only two blitzers and two catchers for the humans (two Black Orcs for the Orcs). I think I still have a spare set of these figures from when I bought a new game to get the other parts.
Orcs are the easiest team to begin with, wheras Wood Elves probably are the hardest (except for the "funny" teams like Goblins, Haflings, Vampire and Ogre which are mainly if you wish to be really challenged). The Woddies are the most expensive and if played wrong they tend to break.
The Orcs are the opposite of Woodies.
Humans are a good all round team, they have no obvois lakings, but on the other hand they also do not have any real starts to begin with.
Good luck with it.

Woodies are probably the better team, but Humans are a good solid team to learn the game from. We doesn´t as such have a "buy and sell" forum. Maybe someone has a team for sale, although I doubt it - most people tend to have more than a single team to play with.

As you demonstrated perfectly there Rasmus :D But true, most Danes are quite good at English. Thx for the kind words, and may fortune shine on your BB future ;)

Indeed this site is awsome which we can Casper for (and he us that we put up with his antics). English is the first (and primary) foreign language to most danes and since we want to project our love of Blood Bowl across borders it is a little easier to do this writing in the english language as very few outside Denmark understands danish...

I have to say this has to be the best Blood Bowl or ongoing record keeping gaming event with miniatures in RPG style, I have ever seen. Just tremendous stuff. I also am confused about this being written in English - is English that prevalent there in Denmark? Just curious - and again - wonderful site. I own the game and painted two teams - never played it even once. I would like to someday since I just found my perfect copy.

Hi all,
As you may well remember from last year, the Waterbowl Weekender is very keen on foreign coaches :) Over the last couple of tournaments, we have had Odium Kahn (sweden), Lauth181 (germany), Gorbad (Netherlands - 3 times!) and Longshot (France), and we already have interest from Lauth and Traveller for the 2009 tourny :) . We are hoping to continue this tradition with our 4th installment of the Waterbowl Weekender.
The tournament is held in Manchester over the weekend of the 21-22 2009. Why should you come all the way to Manchester? Well, the tournament is held at one of the best venues in the UK for playing BB (it is clean, air conditioned, spacious and has nice toilets :D ) and for the entry fee, we can promise you a weekend of top quality blood bowl played against some great coaches (last year we had over 40). There is an abundance of prizes, the much treasured Waterbowl CD, as well as some unlikely prize categories. And, of course, we are the spiritual home of the Stunty Cup! Last year, we had a whopping 9 stunty coaches :)
On the Saturday night, there will be a social where you can take in some of the fine sights of Manchester and, if you are able to let us know in good time, we may be able to sort you out with some free accommodation.
For those of you minded to come to the UK more than once in a short(ish) period, we even offer a discount with the Monkeybowl (in Hartlepool), so that you can enjoy two great tournaments for one low price, and be in with a chance of being the King of the Watermonkeys! (Best performer over the two tournaments).
So the details:
Tournament: Waterbowl Weekender 2009
Date: 21-22 February 2009
Venue: CTF Building, University of Manchester, 48 Grafton Street, Manchester.
Price: £20 (NAF), £25 (non-NAF - includes price of membership)
