Noting the two Bloodweiser babes the Orcs had brought to the game, it was just instantly given that this would be their match. With only 11 rats ready DR could not endure any unlucky events, and they had almost nothing but that, whereas the Orcs just threw players of pitch one by one and none of them came back in!
DR did receive the ball but failed to take any orcs down, so only a feeble attempt at setting up a scoring possibility was tried. The first blitz saw Buddha KOed. He woke up for the last turn!
Then an attempt to blitz a hole in the side with Loke almost went completely wrong. So scoring was no longer realistic. But at least the ball was fairly safe with Jesus. But to make it completely safe a simple block by Thor B should work, but also this failed utterly and he went down KOed. He did not wake up again. (Double skull RR something useful, then double skull again.)
The orcs attacked and Godric Cowhead showed that he could still be useful in spite of having lost his impressive strength, he BH Brage A. This was to be his last match for GG as the coach realized that it was to expensive to have him on the team! But still the orcs could not contain Jesus and with a series of dodges he where at the EZ for an easy TD, but… the coach of DR held his breath as Jesus almost tripped over the invisible wire, but somehow he regained his balance and DR was ahead 0-1, and the orcs had lost two turns!
But but but. Neither of the two KOed came back, and the riot gave the orcs an extra turn to score. With two linerats out already better players had to take to the LoS. And this resulted in Maria getting killed in the orcs first block (2nd time for her this season), and next when Uranus tried to dodge out he fell and got BH. So with 6 turns left the orcs only faced 6 rats.
These just tried to get out of the way, but without luck. Vanrad Steinson SI Tyr A reducing his speed (now all linerats on DR has stat decreases!) Jesus avenged this by fouling Vanrad Steinson KOed, but he was spotted and thrown off. And finally before the last turn Zeus was KOed and he failed to wake up for the rest of the match.
In the end the orcs did take a chance when Talon Slickhands who had held the ball all through the half, decided to pass the ball for the TD, and it almost went wrong, but Valfried Hardearth managed to catch the pass for the tying TD 1-1. He thus learned to be accurate himself.
As none of the three KOed came back, DR had to put all their available players on the LoS. But a small opening for a possible tie presented itself! After Bertram Quickmove failed to take God down, Talon Slickhands failed to pick up the ball. Suddenly all hope was not lost. Holy Spirit still had a chance to get the ball and maybe get behind God who had run down pitch. But the leap failed and Holy Spirit BH himself this way.
With the ball now secured and both God and Loke lying down the victory was a given thing for the orcs. The two remaining rats never tried to get up, and the orcs just ran to the EZ where Gogdush Beastraper now had been given the ball. He scored for 2-1 and learned to tackle from this.
Finally a KO came back for DR giving them three for their last turn, and the awoken Buddha managed a last turn completion and was elected MVP for this! Of course the rats only just earned enough money to cover their spiralling expenses (another one!) and thus will not even be able to buy a new linerat!
