Clatu Verrata Nictu – wearing the unholy no. 13 – was working as the gatekeeper at training camp in the Land of the Dead when he was discovered by Necromancer Blachskull who was on a routine check of the facilities. Clatu told Blachskull that he found his job as a gatekeeper to be deadly dull and that he would grieve himself to death if he did not try out “life” as a pro-bloodbowl player. Necromancer Blachskull likes players with that kind of attitude and the rest is history – Clatu is now one of the most promissing old players of the team.
