Once again the two enemies DD and Zola clashed together. Since their first season they have hated each others guts, and so far the score was tied, with 1-1-1. Each victory send the opponent out of the tournament, and DD send Zola out when they tied last season.
This time, however, both teams were secured a spot in the play-off, so they hoped to get through unharmed. But alas for both team it became a violent match with 5-5 in cas, of which 6 were SI. But Zola took the hardest punishment and in the end DD could run away with a 2-0 victory to take the lead in this personal fight.
Both team got their niggled players to the match, but strangely enough all three of these left the match early to go to the injury box!
DD got to receive the ball and played rough from the start as Argos fouled Gestapio smashing his kneed forcing a retirement. Zola got right back at DD when super strong Zepelin BH the other dirty player Xorn and he failed to regenerate. DD had the ball in a cage and continued the violence as Ra gave Messer Junior II a concussion forcing him to miss next match. Already now Zola lacked two BOBs! But they retaliated as Strauss BH Ghoul Mean Midget.
At this point DD had been forced to run Mad Max down pitch, but at least managed to prevent him from being blitzed, and with a one dice blitz on Zepelin, he pushed him self free of opponents and scored for 1-0.
This would give Zola time to tie the match, but early in the second drive troll Dumbwhaat attacked two zombies and that was too much for him, and he caused an early turnover. This gave DD a perfect opportunity to stop the orcs chances. S. Finxter and Mad Max actually got hold of the ball carrier but then Pantzer blitzed Mad Max and smashed his knee. The old ghoul has since retired due to all his injuries.
In the half’s last moment it seemed that Spidermann was getting ready to foul Ra, but the troll who had used a couple of turns to get back on his feet decided once again to attack the two zombies and once more he rolled the double skulls and was hence SI by Squiil: a Zombie who hence learned block. The troll managed to regenerate in time for second half though, but the foul was not made as the ref blew his whistle.
In the second half the troll was so shocked that he just stood there the first three turns, and once again later when he was all alone. That was just before he was SI again, now by Ramses the 5th, and this time he failed to regenerate.
But before this DD had got of to a great start after a perfect defence and Ramses the 5th has also BH the other ST 5 player on Zola, when he blitzed Zepelin of the pitch. This opened the orcs defences and Sinistra Dextre took down Daringonast II who lost the ball. The orcs failed to recover it, although they got the ghoul down, but then S. Finxter came running for the ball and passed it to Enasni the Death Eater who though failed to catch the inaccurate pass that bounced to him.
The orcs were pretty mad and began fouling, and the first they hurt was Sinistra Dextre who was fouled so bad by Spidermann that he got a concussion and must miss the next match. In their wery last turn Daringonast II fouled Benno Brausekopf II BH (he regenerated though), obviously due to anger of loosing the ball.
Before this Sinistra Dextre had gripped the ball and dodged away with it, and just when the final whistle sounded he could run into the EZ, without any defence left for his first TD and the 2-0 victory.
DD’s fans loved it, but the extra fans did not come from Zola. Zola has 3 MNG for the next match, but at least they earned 60 k to replace this; the winning team only took 30 k
Mean Midget got the MVP cause he were the Ghoul that were least injured among the three who went out, and of course the troll Dumbwhaat got the other for all the fun he was this match (for DD ;) )
No less than 10 casualties were made by each team, one regenerated for each. Apart from that only 2 KO were made also one for each team, so that was a weirdly violent match. Zola began as the strong team, but in the end, DD had the strongest players left, and once again held their EZ clean.
Now it is on to the play-offs for both teams, which are both somewhat worse off than before this match!
