Although the Vikings won the casualty race, their last 2 casualties came so late in the match that they never got any advantage of this, and when it came to handling the ball or dodging they were no match for the experienced DD who took a safe 3-0 win home in their first match against Norse.
The Norse hired a lineman, and was pleasd to notice that The Green Ghost from DD missed the match. And then they got to recive the ball, after some briliant coaching. Nevertheless the first beserker forgot this and made a push back frenzy into a 1 dice block, and took double skull in the first turn. This pushed the Norse seriously back as DD attacked. (Although the attack was halted when dirty player Argos was thrown out for the 2nd match in a row on his first (only stunning) foul. That left zero dirty players in the match).
3 turns later Sinistra Dextre could blitz ballcarrier Finn Buesøn down forcing the apo to save his life. The bouncing ball was caught by S. Finxter who next turn handed it back to the Ghoul who proceded to score for 1-0.
Next drive Godfred Asbjørnsson SI Benno Brausekopf II, the latter regenerated though, but then again the Vikings had problems failing a pick-up. And although Godfred Asbjørnsson BH Xorn so he failed to regenerate, there were no way of stopping Mad Max securing the match 2-0 in first half.
In 2nd half DD recived but even with a touch back Sinistra Dextre fumbled a throw. And then DD was pressed back on their own pitch. Nevertheless Sinistra Dextre took a second chance and passed the ball succesfully to Lex Liche. For this he was rewarded with block.
However, Lex Liche could not reach safety, and was frenzied down next turn, and Regnar Knudsson ran with the ball. But a turn later he tried to dodge past a mummy and failed. Hence Mad Max once again got hold of the ball, and ran out of reach. The Norse retaliated when first Bue Sigfredsson BH Lex Liche (who regenerated) but then Minotauer Bjørn Torsketrækker killed Vigo who failed to regenerate.
Vikings had 2 turns to reduce, but a blitz from DD actaully gave DD a bette chance at scoring, especially as another double skull ruined the Vikings chances. But when Mad Max blitzed the thrower he only managed to push him, and the game ended 3-0.
The fans apreciated the match and both teams increased their FF with 30/60 k in winnings.
