In a semi final that was to show if speed could beat brutal force, the fast moving rats took on the brutal dwarfs. The rats won the coin tash, (using a magic coin) and before the dwarfs ever knew what was going on, the rats had made it 1-0 with a 1 turn touch down. Now the rats was kicking the ball. A dwarf runner got his hnads on it an ran for the center of the field, while the rest of the team mangled a few rats. The dwarfs was in controll, but then from no where a fireball stroke the dwarfs, taking down 4 players, and the rats downed a another 2. A blitz was made on ball carrier Truid Slugger who attempted a dump off, but fumbled the ball. The crowed was silencend as the ball bounched around, and after several players failing to get it, the ball ended up in the hands of a rat lineman, who was standing all alone. Making it easy for the dwarfs to take him down and regain control of the ball and the game. Even thouh the rats managed to get the ball free once more (on a 2 dice against block) the ball bounced to Grim Ironjaw, and the dwarfs was looking at a sure TD.. But no, 2 turns later a gutter runner took down Grim (3 dices against), but an unlucky bouch of the ball made it impossible for the rats to take advantage. The dwarfs scored in turn 8, leaving only 5 rats on field, and "Pussycat" Shreads in the grave. Now only 6 rats was left to defend tor the entire 2nd half, and they fought bravely, but against 11 dwarfs this proved impossible, and i a rather borring 2nd half, the dwarfs playd it safe with another turn 8 TD. Now the rats had to prove that they could score yet another 1 turn TD, but the dwarfs stand firm line, made sure that this was very unlikely to happen, and a blitz on kickoff made sure. Brutal force beat speed 2-1, and the dwarfs are heading for the final. The rats (or what is left of them) for the 3rd place match. If only the ball had bounced another direction a few times, it would have been another story...
