The 88.000 fans didnīt see a beautiful game, instead they were witnesses to a masterful tactical showdown between the two sides. All Extravagantes players turned up for this match, while 2 Blodge(one also had Guard) missed the match for the Renegades. As the enegades had bribed the ref, 12 men started on the pitch for their side. Right from the start Death Extravagante went for the one-turner Elorfin Moonglowe, but eventhough he was downed 4 times, and fouled once in the first half, he wasnīt injured. Extravagante drove down first the middle, then right before shifting to the left side. All the time with a constantly decreasing pack of Renegades chasing them. Eventhough Greyhavien Renegades several times got to the ballcarrier, the many Darkies around the ball, kept it from being taken away from their possesion - that and the fact that one carrier had dumpoff. Once however a stunning move from Celemir Showof, followed up by (pid1332), dodged 5 times all in TZīs with tackle and a pick up also in a TZ, succesfully before being tripped over. As Extravagante scored at the latest possible time, they forced Renegades to try a one - turn TD. This failed as Elorfin Moonglowe fell over his own feet trying to blitz his way through the deep defensive line. As the second half began, Renegades failed a catch, quickly the Darkies swarmed around it, and the Greyhavien Renegades never got a chance of getting it back. Midway through the second half Death Extravagante could score to 2-0. Greyhavien quickly responded, and with a fast TD they were back in 2-1. They managed to force overtime as a Darkie got himself struck to the ground, thus leaving the ball almost ungarded. However the beating had taken itīs toll on the Woodies. Elorfin Moonglowe had been taken out, and so were most of his teammates. As only six started at overtime, Extravagante poured down towards the ball, blitzed the player standing close to the ball, end positioning themselves well. They eventually managed to get the ball into the endzone, but failed to pick it up there. Second half of overtime however never became much of a challenge for Extravagante who scored to 3-2. Thus winning the game.
