For once the Changers of Faces had some fan support, but not enough to beat the Borc Lockers's huge fanclub. The weather was nice, and the Changers kicked of in the first half.
The Borc coach switched the ball arond a couple of times, faking a run up one of the sidelines, and finally caught the Changers out of position, allowing him to get into a pretty secure position, in range of the TD. This left no good opportunity for the Changers to get the ball, but they managed to force the TD (scored by Dolf Ryrbye) with time to go.
The Changers had two players on the sideline, one hurt and one KO'ed, but since the KOed player managed to wake up they could manage to field 11 players. Borc Lockers kicked-off and the Changers tried desperately to get through the Orcs perfect positioning. They got the ball through (thanks to a lineork getting sent of by the ref), but the ball carrier was sacked and stunned. Now only one player was in position to score, but with a(lot) of luck rookie John Johnson managed to blitz away one goblin, pick up the ball in the TZ of another goblin, and dodge away to score. This ended the first half 1-1.
Second half the Orks had to kick again, and this time they managed a blitz. They didn't get much out of it however, and the Changers managed to move the ball steadily down the sideline, while getting several orks out of the game (Rars Lasmussen's face was changed forever by Kragor the Terrifying). Knowing that he had a wizard in his backhand, the Overlord ordered Hixxer to score early.
Borc Lockers was severely decimated and had only 7 players ready to go. The orc fans was not at all amused, and killed the ref... Even with only seven players the orcs still managed to get Dolf Ryrbye into a position safe from any blitzes. He was not safe from the wizard though, and he used a bolt of lightning to strike him down, stunning him in the process. The Changers now had a fairly good chance to score, and Hixxer managed to do so in the dying minutes of the game.
The Chaos could then kick to the Orcs, knowing that the game was won as they had no chance to score. They took out their anger on the beastmen on the line, but did not manage a casualty, even when taking advantage of the missing ref to trample a beastman lying down!
The match thus ended 3-1 in favor of the Changers of Faces and 5-2 (1-1) in casualties. But only the dying warrior was saved by the team apo - not the same fate for the now dead BOB.
Sulrik Vendsen was very pissed when he received the MVP for his casualty - although it did make him a star. He was only two casualtied away from achiving this by himself without any other help (24 casualties did he manage before getting an MVP.)
