It was a fine day for Bloodbowl and a fair amount of chaos fans showed up. The Foodfighters, however, decided to use their inducement money on bacon sandwiches which attracted almost the double amount of halfling fans!
Changers of Faces won the coin toss and decided to receive. On the kick, the hafllings had a perfect coach managed a perfect defense and moved some halflings up the field. The chaos started out a bit soft, when Gestix failed to knock over the halfling he blitzed, and Hixxer was so taken back by this, that he couldn't pick up the ball. The halflings, on the other hand, started of strong when Ingis Willow smashed the knee of Krugor. The newly hired team medic was called in, but he was so perplexed that he almost killed the poor beastman. The halflings, riled up by the succes of the treeman, decided to go for the ball, and Mike Oakheart threw Dolf Chickenwrestler down the pitch, but although he made a perfect landing, he had no luck in getting to the ball. With no success, the halflings decided to take their vengeance on Gestix and blitzed him. When that didn't take Elgi Beanfarter hideously fouled and stunned him. Fyx responded by badly hurting Charles Cowtipper on a blitz, immediately after. Having shaken of the shock, Hixxer managed to pick of the ball and moved into a chaos warrior cage, just over the middle of the chaos part of the field. The halflings decided to throw a halfling after the ball, and although Ingis Willow got the halfling in the air, he missed the target! Unfortunately the halfling managed to land on his feet. The middle of the field being full of trees, Hixxer decided to rush up along the left sideline. The chaos moved up to cover the ball, and Gestix recovered from the most unfair foul and decided to return the favor. He jumped up, blitzing Elgi Beanfarter and broke his ribs, sending the halfling on an unwanted vacation. The halflings tried to blitz the ball carrier, but Ixi Steakgriller didn't have any luck. They then tried to get in the way, but Xeno Pebbersneeze was unable to make a dodge, because his injury acted up! Unhindered by the halfling attack, Hixxer ruched on towards the endzone. When the rest of the chaos players moved up to support him, Insulta accidentally knocked out Xeno Pebbersneeze when he stepped on his face, but the wise referee saw that it wasn't on purpose and let it go. It now seemed like nothing could stop the chaos team from scoring. The halfling coach, not willing to give up so easy, ordered the poor Ixi Steakgriller to try again though, and this took Hixxer by surprise. Both players tumbled to the ground, the halfling ending up being badly hurt, while the beastman was stunned. The ball meanwhile scattered right into the hands of Ivan the Relentless. The endzone in sight, he rushed forward, but when Gestix attempted a dodge to get in a better position he fell, giving the halflings the opportunity they needed. Jules Applejuggler blitzed Ivan the Relentless and he to had success getting the opponent to the ground (falling himself). This time there was no one to catch the ball, so it ended up on the ground. Kragor the Terrifying picked it up and attempted to pass it, but he couldn't hit the target. Then Mike Oakheart threw a halfling after the ball and he managed to both land, and pick up the ball.In a last ditch attempt to get a TD Greggor the Horrific knocked out Benny Clamsucker who had the ball, but Hixxer couldn't manage to pick it up.
In the second half the Changers of Faces kicked the ball. Before the halflings could get to the ball, however, Mike Oakheart managed to knock himself down when he blocked Insulta who also fell down in the process. The chaos, being unable to get to the ball, instead tried to get as much in the way as possible. Enu Bananasplitter picked up the ball and started running for the endzone. The halfling managed to cover him well enough that there were no direct path to the ball, and so Ivan the Relentless blitzed on of the halflings who stood in the way. That resulted in a smashed collar bone for Xeno Pebbersneeze, and Enu Bananasplitter was now faced with several chaos players. Being small and cowardly, he managed to dodge away from the threat, and get into a safe position on the sideline, but when Niko Cowleaper tried to dodge into a better position he fell and was stuned. Once again, no clear path to the ball was available, so Gestix decided to knock out Jules Applejuggler, on the way to the ball carrier, now breathing him down the neck. Once again, however, the halflings ran from the fight, getting the ball into a safe position, but this time Niles Beerchucker failed to get away. This didn't matter much though when the chaos blitz failed to do any damage. Ingis Willow then managed to knock out Erg'ze when he ran all out on a blitz. Benny Clamsucker then failed a dodge, leaving the ball carrier undefended on the sideline! Insulta took advantage of this, and pushed Enu Bananasplitter and the ball out into the crowd, where he was beat up and got a pinched nerve! The ball was thrown in but ended up behind the endzone, where another fan kicked the ball halfway across the pitch where it ended up. Fyx picked up the ball, but failed to pass it into safety, and although 3 chaos players had a hand on it in the following commotion, no one managed to hang on to it. The halflings now had to scramble to get to the ball, and although several of them got near, no one managed to pick it up. Niles Beerchucker was even knocked out when he failed to dodge past a chaos player. Kragor the Terrifying now tried to save the match, but he had to pick the ball up with both a tree and a halfling interfering. He showed extreme agility though, and managed to not only get the ball, but also to dodge away and pass the ball to Greggor the Horrific! The oaf, however, couldn't hold on the the ball and droped it. The dying minutes of the game was then marked by failure. First Angus Puddingstomper failed a dodge, then Insulta fell while attempting a blitz. The halflings had one final attempt at scoring, but even though Mike Oakheart managed to fracture the leg of Kragor the Terrifying in the process, in the end the short arms of the halfings proved fatal when Benny Clamsucker couldn't catch it.
With a bloody match, once again the Changers of Faces fan club grew, but the Foodfighters fans was not impressed and some of their fans lost interest in the sport, deciding that the only good part of the day was the bacon sandwich!
