The Bunnies received the ball and quickly made it 1-0.
The Ogre team was throughout the match reluctant to even try to pick up the ball - possibly a tactic evolved from previous bad experiences. In any case they cornered the ball on the sideline. But in this match the agile Elves led by Ann Tenna Kabell were here, there, and everywhere, leaping and dodging their way in and out of trouble. They recovered the ball and made it 2-0.
By now the Ogres actually tried to pick up the ball and to this end they succeeded this time, but the Bunnies were not afraid to throw blocks and blitzes, and throughout the match they had considerable success doing this - not only against the Snotlings. Two times they managed to strip the Ogres of ball-possession, and the last time the Bunnies even retrieved the ball themselves. The Ogres managed, however, to blitz the ball-carrier, and they were lucky that a good throw-back from the audience put them within scoring range just before half-time, but a failed pick-up meant that the Bunnies were 2-0 up at the interval.
By the beginning of the second half, the Ogres were starting to wear down the Bunnies who had 4 players on the injury list and another 2 knocked out. But again the Ogre team players would not get hold of the ball. A handfull of agile and quick Elves were over them before they knew it, and the score was now 3-0.
By now the Ogres had abandoned all hope of a come-back, and focused only on inflicting pain. The 2 only Snotlings left with the task of attempting to do anything with the ball were no match for the Bunnies who advanced to 4-0.
Despite being only 5 players left on the field by the end of the match the Bunnies were closer to 5-0 than the Ogres were to 4-1.
