Once again a battered Divine Rats team came blitzing out taking on a stronger opponent leaving them no chances before victory was almost secured.
With both gutter runner stars to help them DR could just field 12 once again, this time without the aide of journeymen. Both Skitter Stab-Stab and Hakflem Skuttlespike took part in obtaining the result.
DR received and the first block this season against the Blood Bowl Bunnies resulted in a kill, when Zeus snuffed Ann Holt. The second block by Thor B BH Iben Holt. Then Skitter Stab-Stab stabbed Sandra Bullcock KO in a blitz, and finally the last bunny on LoS where stunned in a foul. The ref did not show up for the first half, but only DR took advantage of this. (No injuries but, a couple of KOs where the result.)
Hakflem Skuttlespike had caught the kick-off with his many arms, and in the second turn he where forced to dodge and pass the ball, but this worked and the TD was in by God for 1-0.
In second drive Thor B continued with another BH this time on Alqa Ida. But this was not enough and a long pass by Ko Π and a leap by Ann Tenna Kabell and the equalizer was given 1-1.
Soon DR had the ball safely tucked away down close to BBB's EZ, and since Bunnies where not attacking DR just waited the half out, while Skitter Stab-Stab ran around blitzing with his dagger, and he did manage to BH light armoured thrower Ko Π. But the apo kept her in the game. (She was later blitzed again and again by the stabber, but he never managed to break AV).
In the last turn God scored for 2-1. As neither of the two KOed bunnies came in, they did not even try for a one turner, and this short time did not give the two KOed a chance to wake up. Thus BBB only fielded 9 for the second half.
And this is not enough to cover the pitch against a blitz! With a great kick Loke had placed the ball one step from the LoS, away from the bonny offence, and it was no problem to form a tight and almost blitz proof cage around God who caught the ball with ease. The bunnies did not attack, ad soon the cage was again at the EZ uncontested. So God manage a completion to Holy Spirit before receiving it back for a hand-off and a hat-trick still early in 2nd half: 3-1. With this God became a Super Star and learned to shadow.
The bunnies needed three turns this time before another leap gave Ann Tenna Kabell her second TD for 3-2. It was again the tails from the star runners and the tackle players of DR that forced these leaps.
For the last drive DR just needed to ensure BBB would not score. So with God in position to score with two turns, and only one bunny as a scoring threat, the attention was focused on her, and a blitz did take Polly Styrén down, and the victory was secured. It could have been 4-2, but Holy Spirit could not make his leap, and when he next turn stripped the ball from the bunny catcher line bunnie Guillo-Tine, who finally had woken up from her KO, caught the ball preventing any chance for a last turn TD. The result stood 3-2. It was obvious after this match that only a player with no. 11 would be allowed to score!
The bunnies MVP of course went to the TD scoring catcher Ann Tenna Kabell whereas the perfect kick ensuring the victory for DR gave Loke his 2nd MVP this season (in two matches) and his 7th MVP altogether.
