Just when the two teams entered the pitch the rain started pouring down at this continued all through the match.
The weather proved decisive from the first turn, when the slippery ball could not be picked-up by DD’s thrower Franz von Hipper. And thus it was easy for Jesus to get hold of it and pass it back to Madonna. She was, however, not out of reach of Kress von Kressenstein who managed to take her down. But then when trying to get his TZ on the ball pushed it too hard.
So Jesus had no problem with once again getting the ball and he ran out of reach towards his own EZ. In the meantime Zeus killed Leopold of Bavaria, but the apo was able to cure him, so he will be ready again after next match. This was avenged by Ogre Grogosh Krust who BH Frej B.
But Jesus could now run into scoring reach, and only Kress von Kressenstein had a chance to get over to the other side, and his leap over the rat line failed. Thus midway through first half Jesus could stroll in for a 0-1 lead for DR. The Huggers and the Divine met again for the third time. It was 1-1 so far. Almost equally valued, it became a close match.
The Orcs came blitzing out, but failed to do any damage, and the rats made TD possible. But it was made very difficult by the orcs, especially when Nullergøj managed to KO Rat Ogre Muhammad. Also God was KOed, and dirty player Tyr had KOed himself in a dodge.
But with a subsequent push and several dodges, finally Jesus could pass for the TD for 0-1 by Holy Spirit. But as neither of the KOed players woke, DR missed three key players for the second drive and was already down to 10 vs.11.
A pitch invasion took 3 players down from each team, but Nero stood up and BH Heimdal A, first blood. To prevent too much of that, DR set all in against Nullergøj and Zeus managed to SI the piling orc. But as a revenge Tue Borc then blitzed him KO, and he remained so the rest of the game. Several players left the pitch. A failed foul was spotted by the ref and Chip was thrown out. Then Frej B was BH in a dodge and in the last turn DR's thrower Buddha BH Hr. Bent.
But too few rats without the strength players could not halt the orc cage and in the half's last turn H. T. Bush tied the match.
Once again 3 KOs failed to come back, only the dirty player returned for DR and they were down to 8 vs. 11 for 2nd half. And it was quickly turned to 7 vs. 11 when Krøllebølle SI Thor B. But then the luck seemed to smile on DR.
H. T. Bush needed to push it all he could to reach the ball, and when he almost fell he decided that it was good enough to leave the ball on the ground in many TZ. But that was a mistake. Buddha blitzed Newton Jr. down into the ball with the help of guard Odin A and killed the lineorc.
The ball then scattered into 3 TZ on the outside of the "cage" and Jesus had no trouble picking it up and passing it to Holy Spirit who then ran out of reach while Madonna ran into scoring position. The latter was blocked off, but instead Holy Spirit passed to Jesus who were now almost in a semi cage and in scoring reach. Finally a well placed blitz by Mars could close the last gap. As long as Tyr could push a BOB: But no, double both down.
Still the ball was with a blodger and no tackle players could reach him. But in the end a hole in the defence was made big enough for Baconkaj to squeeze through, and bam, Jesus was killed. Thankfully with the help of his brother the apotech, Jesus arose from the death once again!
But the ball was now lying on the ground. Still it was not impossible for the rats, and Holy Spirit managed to doge into and grab the ball in the TZ of Baconkaj and handed it to Madonna. But when all she needed for the TD was dodge twice out through a TZ she came crashing down, and the ball was loose again.
This time the agile gobo Gno got the ball in a "safe" cage, but he could not hold on to it when Holy Spirit came leaping into and blitzed him. With his daunty move he even managed to become as strong as the gobo! But as Madonna then failed to pick up - the ball was finally back in the sure hands of H. T. Bush, and all attempts to stop the orc cage seized. So in the last turn the five remaining rats could only watch as H. T. Bush scored for 2-1.
But two KOs out of four came back in, and since the 7 players remaining included all four runners, the thrower, the rat ogre and the guard a one turn attempt was not completely unlikely. But the very first action by top killer of the match Buddha failed as he could not pick-up the ball, and the game ended 2-1 for El Fuckers!
The MVP went to Nullergøj even though he will miss next game, but his KO of Muhammad became very important. God recived DR's and on that account he became the last of the four DR gutter runners to become a star player, and he now has tackle along with diving tackle!
