In spite of the blizzard 89k fans had shown up to this match, and everyone was happy to see the weather chance to fine as the match started.
DD kicked to Fredsduerne (FD) who had hired a wizard to support them against the mighty mummies. One of them Ramses the 5th was not too mighty as he had celebrated the walkover match the day before and had a serious hangover. He behaved like a true bonehead all through the match.
It may have been easy for FD to score if they had managed to pick-up the ball in the first turn. But they choose to save the RR when agile Jøgge failed. Some serious offence by DD gave the result that the ball was still laying on the ground in turn 4. And had Sinistra Dextre been a little lucky with a blitz, DD might have gotten away with it.
The reason he had this chance was that inept dirty player Heino "dirty" Harry was send off for fouling him even though he failed to stun him! And FD felt the heat when Dozer was killed by Benno Brausekopf II. The apo managed to save him, but it became a little scary there!
Finally Jøgge managed to run off with the ball. But suddenly he was surrounded by 3 DD players and the way down pitch was also well blocked. In an act of desperation the wizard was wasted in knocking down Ramses the 5th and S. Finxter. And although Jøgge ran down pitch alone, and out of serious blitzing reach, he did not make the last go for it, which would have allowed him to score next turn.
So after dodging out through TZ he came up one square short of the EZ, and Sinistra Dextre managed to take him down alone KOing him in the process. When Dozer failed to dodge free, DD suddenly had a chance the other way.
In a true elfish play S. Finxter took the ball in DD's own EZ, handed it to Sinistra Dextre who ran all he could to make a long pass straight to Enasni the Death Eater who where waiting just within easy scoring reach, and he firmly caught the ball and made it 0-1 at half time.
In second half DD's top ghoul Mean Midget gripped the ball and kept it safe in a cage. But even though Argos BH Bud Spencer in turn 1 on a foul, FD pushed DD down their own pitch. Dozer took revenge and BH Argos, and later Fredelige Finn BH Squiil: a Zombie. Both failed to regenerate. When also Ra was KOed by Stig Tøfting DD was 2 players down. But in the last turn both Wight and the two other ghouls managed to make an almost perfect cage around Mean Midget, and when Brutalis tried to take down Sinistra Dextre he went down (double skull RR double skull!) and the match ended 0-1 for DD.
Mean Midget received DD's MVP for keeping the ball safe through 2nd half to secure the win.
The teams fans remained with their team in this uneventful match, where no new skills where learned, and only 30k vs. 60 k where earned.
